Your software is tested by MyTesters’ worldwide community of software testers. Our community numbers over 55,000 professional testers from 149 different countries – all of them go through our strict vetting process to ensure that they are professional testers and competent to do your testing tasks.
MyTesters self service model doesn’t allow you to do that, however if your needs are more specialist, please contact our partner company, BugFinders by clicking here.
Testers will work hard to find bugs that will be valuable to you. They will cover a wide range of devices/browsers as appropriate and the bugs will be raised in a clear and concise manner in the MyTesters portal. You will have access to the MyTesters portal for your project for at least 2 years after the project has completed.
When working with test teams, it is important to have a test lead. MyTesters gives you the chance to do this, however you will find that some bugs (approximately 35%) are not valid. This is related to testers raising bugs at the same time or slightly out of scope. You can choose to either add on validation where we will check the bug is in scope and written well, or go for our recommended service where we will retest the bug and ensure it is set to the ranking.
The MyTesters portal makes it easy for you to log in, view your bugs and get them fixed. You can export the bugs to your own bug tracking system if you wish or you can use the enterprise class features of the MyTesters portal to manage your bugs.
No – MyTesters does not use emulators or virtual machines of any kind. All of our testing is done by real testers using devices and platforms they own and use in everyday life.
You don’t need to worry about the safety of your ideas. All MyTesters testers are required to sign a legally binding confidentiality agreement before becoming members of our community.
Our testers are vetted by our Internal Team of experts here at MyTesters HQ. Our Internal Team has years of experience in the software testing industry, making it adept at recognising skilled testers that are committed to ensuring software quality.
MyTesters provides you with a couple of options but to ensure we find as many bugs as possible, you should choose an unlimited project. This means that your project won’t be stopped while our vast community of testers still has issues to submit.
You need to provide an installable build or accessible site, as well as an idea of what you are hoping to achieve with your test. Some basic instructions on how best to penetrate into your application may also be beneficial to provide. If your app or site has an ecommerce function, it is a good idea to provide test card data so that the payment engine and confirmation emails can be checked.
If you require more complex testing on your software (involving scripted testing, for example), visit BugFinders’ website or call us on + 44 (0) 1242 650 280.
The most important thing is to quickly fix all of your critical and high-impact issues! Once this is done, you should run a new test cycle to ensure the previously functional areas of your software still function as expected.
If your app or website is already live, your medium- and low-impact issues should be fixed incrementally with patches, with a retest being done after each major patch.
If you are still in development or have a future release planned, the medium-impact bugs should be fixed as soon as possible. The low-impact and trivial bugs can be fixed after you go live with incremental patches.
No – because the MyTesters community is based across different time zones, there will always be testers ready to begin work on your project. Please bear in mind though that the project may not start until a different time as the project managers may be in a slightly different timezone.
No – MyTesters is a 24/7 service. Because our testing community is based internationally, we always have testers available to work overnight and at weekends. This means if you opt for the MyTesters Premium service and start testing on a Friday afternoon, your project will still finish by the afternoon of the following Monday.
You will see your issues within about 12 hours from when the project is launched depending on what time you launch and what service you choose.
